Climate Controls

The interior climate control is part electrical, a part of the engine cooling system and a separate air conditioning system.  These three components provide comfort in the passenger compartment.

Maintenance to the interior heating and cooling systems is only necessary when you are unable to maintain a desired temperature level (hot or cold) or when you are unable to feel air movement based on the fan settings.

The air condition system may require some maintenance after several years of use.
Recharging of the system with approved coolant may be "R" during the vehicle life to achieve adequate passenger compartment cooling.  (Be sure to check your owners manual for proper coolant for your particular vehicle.) Belts & Hoses should be checked "R" annually for overall condition.

The heating system is closely connected to the engine cooling system.  Proper maintenance of that system will in most cases support the correct level of interior heating.
