This key component impacts almost every other system within the vehicle. Proper maintenance will vary depending on the size and type of engine. Owners should follow the "R" recommendations of the manufacturer or their service provider when performing the following maintenance services.
Spark Plug replacement, Fuel & Air Filter replacement, Emissions Controls, Carburetor or Injector cleaning.
Poor gas mileage, excessive exhaust emissions or a change in engine performance are indications that some maintenance service or repair is "N" necessary. Many vehicles computer system will advise the owner of "N" repairs by a dashboard indicator light. (Check Engine Soon). Your service provider through a check of the vehicle computer system can identify the specific problem.
