Tires
Proper Inflation "N" is needed to maintain steering and road contact. Check the correct air pressure, monthly with an air gauge and match to the recommended level in owners manual or door jam of vehicle.
Tire Tread Depth "N" is necessary to allow for safe driving on all road surfaces and weather conditions. Check Tread area periodically for cuts, uneven wear and for tread depth. Insert a penny (Lincoln head down) into the tread groove. If you can see all of Lincolns head the tread depth is below acceptable standards. (2/32nds of one inch)
Inspect the sidewall area "R" for any cuts, scrapes or tears that may show signs of damage. If sidewall fabric (cord body) is exposed replace the tire immediately.
